K is for Kuan Yin Oracle Deck - Pagan Blog Project

Kuan Yin Oracle

Last week's post was all about Kuan Yin.

You know that I love her.

She continues to inspire me daily.

When I saw the Kuan Yin Oracle deck,
my heart grew 3 times bigger,
and I knew I was meant to have it.

I love this deck.

I took the cards with me on my solo retreat a couple of weekends ago. I sought wisdom from the oracle.
Each time I pulled a card it was
exactly what I needed to hear/know at that moment.

The oracle card chosen on my 1st morning by the river,
"Nectar of the Lotus",
really hit the spot.

"The Divine Mother wishes that
those who are meant to feed others be well fed too!

Your devotion to helping others
has the effect of squeezing the
cosmic heart chakra of the Divine Mother.

From her heart drips nectar, sweet,
sustaining, life-affirming energy
that feeds you and allows you to nourish many souls.

Like a sacred chalice that overflows,
when you are full, well and vital,
the feeding of others happens effortlessly.

You are guided to be fed now, fed with Divine Nectar from the Heart of the Mother."

And that's exactly what I did on my retreat.

Prayer of the Lotus Nectar
"Beloved Kuan Yin,
help me realize the connection to myself and to life,
that I need to be able to live my highest vibrational life,
where I am well, replenished, joyful, and
connected to the endless flow of divine energy
and life force in our Universe.
Please bring me clear guidance about
how to best cultivate chi now,
how to be open to receive the Nectar of the Lotus,
the life force and love of the Divine Mother,
for my highest good,
so be it.
Om Mani Padme Hum."

I Am Abundance

The heat of spring
has arrived.
The kind of heat that
feels like summer.

Plants are thriving.
Bees are buzzing.
Bugs are biting.

It's a time of growth.

Tap in to that prosperous energy.

Be open to
abundance in
all areas of your life.

Here is a prosperity exercise to get you started.

Light a green candle and recite the following.

The earth bursts forth with abundance

As above, so below

The sky overflows with light

As above, so below

Increase and bounty are all around me

As above, so below

Everything is green and growing

As above, so below

Abundance and prosperity are mine

In the best possible ways

As above, so below

As so it is

Always remember abundance is your birthright!

K is for Kuan Yin - Pagan Blog Project

There are quite a few Goddesses I connect with.

The one that tugs at my heart
and I yearn to be like is
Kuan Yin.
Kuan Yin Art Project Creation
Kuan Yin is the
Chinese Goddess of compassion.
She is a bodhisattva - which basically means
she achieved enlightenment,
but chose to forgo nirvana in order to save others.

I strive to be like Kuan Yin.

Kuan Yin is compassion
She is patience. She is love
She is kindness. She is empathy.

Kuan Yin helps people be the best they can be.

I totally get that.

I feel that is my calling.

I help others discover their authentic path.

I was born to be a life coach.

When I'm coaching, it's as natural as breathing.

My favorite part is watching the light bulb
going off over someone's head
as they are talking with me.

I can help with those AHA moments.

Kuan Yin wants the best for everyone,
and so do I.

It's interesting that you can plot and plan, but it's not until you really start putting your business out there to the public that it starts to take its true form.

My favorite part of the day was speaking. I really loved it. I know for sure now that I want to lead workshops and teach.

It all feels so natural, so good.

When we are on the right path, everything flows.

I am flowing and growing.

Stellar Jedi advice.

Don't try.
Just do.

Be a Jedi.

How can you be a Jedi?

Listen to the force.

Trust your intuition.

Be in tune with your spiritual powers.

Believe in mind over matter.

Exhibit patience, honesty, and respect.

Continue to learn and grow.

May the force be with you!

Solo Mountain Getaway

Chillin'
Do you ever feel you just need to get away for a few days?

Pack up the car with things you love and hit the road?

I used to go on solo adventures all the time.

Since I've moved to Asheville, not so much.

I'm bringing Amy-ventures back.

I'm running away this Thursday for a nice
looooong weekend getaway.

I am so ready.

My soul needs this.

We all need quality time with ourselves.

When was the last time you had a date with yourself?

Take yourself out this weekend.
Go for a hike. Read a book. Journal.

Spend time with just you.

I'll be spending time with just me.

J is for Journal Juice - Pagan Blog Project

Writing my Morning Pages
Make Your Own Journaling Juice
Essential Oil Blend

I am a journal junkie.

I carry a journal with me at all times.

I never know when I will feel the need to write.

I've been journaling since the 3rd grade.
I remember my first diary -
Little Orphan Annie.
You can still buy this!
I love reaching in to my brain and
emptying it all out on to the paper.

It helps me sort life out. It helps me remember things.
It helps me look back and go
"Wow, I've learned so much since then."
or "Wow, what am I doing?"

Journaling is cathartic. It inspires us.
It allows our inner creativity to flow out.

Here is a recipe to create your own inspiring journaling oil.

Journaling Juice
2 drops Black Pepper essential oil
2 drops Clary Sage essential oil
 3 drops Lemon essential oil
 3 drops Rosemary essential oil

Add your journal juice to an oil burner,
pick up that pen, and let it the writing flow!

I is for well, I - Pagan Blog Project

I is for I.
As in me, myself, and I.

I get sad when I see people not living the life they want -
when they don't
put themselves first -
when they don't love themselves.

One of the best love affairs to have is
with yourself.

I love being with just me.
I love having some solitude.
I love some quality self-care.

It's because of these "I" moments,
that I'm able to love others, give to others,
because I have built a solid foundation of I.

You can't be there for others if your own personal foundation is weak. If you don't allow yourself any true down time.
If you ignore your callings, your whispers.

Everything starts with I.

Be an authentic strong I
and you will soar.
When it is time for Amy self-care -
I read. or write. or take myself out to dinner. or watch a movie. or go for a latte and people watch. or create a necklace. or go for a walk downtown. or spend time in my garden.  or whatever makes me happy at that moment.

How do you practice self-care?
Tell me about it.
How do you celebrate "I"?
