The solar plexus is our fire center.
It is our personal power and our self will.
Being in tune with your solar plexus means
you know your place in the world.
It is our personal power and our self will.
Being in tune with your solar plexus means
you know your place in the world.
When in balance we function without the approval of others.
The Solar Plexus is:
power - self esteem - acknowledgement - strengths -
self worth - self awareness - ego - self identity
If your solar plexus is too open -
You may be controlling, angry, and judgemental.
You may become a workaholic or
feel superior to others.
If you solar plexus is blocked -
You may be insecure and worry too much about
what others think of you.
Needing constant reassurance is
a sign of an underactive solar plexus.
When your solar plexus is in balance,
we are able to accept ourselves for who we are.
We are decisive, intelligent, expressive,
open, cheerful, and outgoing.
open, cheerful, and outgoing.
We have a sense of inner peace.
There are many ways to heal and
balance the solar plexus chakra.
You can try one or combine many for
more beneficial results.
- Eat yellow foods, grains, and pastas. Corn is great for the solar plexus.
- Drink mint or ginger tea.
- Wear yellow clothes.
- Journal about strong people you admire. Notice how they demonstrate their personal power. How can you demonstrate yours?
- Practice being strong and assertive in the mirror.
- Use yoga postures such as Boat Pose, Plank Pose, and Warrior Pose.
- Meditate focusing on your solar plexus.
- Chant the sound sound "aw" as in the word door.
- Use crystals. Choose one and carry it with you. Meditate with it.
- Use affirmations. I have listed six excellent affirmations below for balancing your 3rd chakra.
- Use essential oils. Remember, oils are the souls of plants. This plant energy can help balance our energy.
Essential Oils for the Solar Plexus Chakra
Chamomile essential oil takes the heat out of any situation and can soothe frayed nerves. It has a calming effect on the mind and the body. It brings peace and patience while erasing anger, fear, and anxiety.
Fennel essential oil brings courage and strength with its slightly spicy and sweet aroma.
Ginger essential oil invokes our fire energy, giving us the oomph to take action and achieve what we set our mind to.
Lemon essential oil is beneficial when feeling discouraged. It clears the mind and uplifts the soul. A clinical study with lemon essential oil was done at Ohio University in 2008. They found that inhaling lemon essential oil affected people's mood in a positive way despite a stressor being applied. Use any citrus essential oil to empower your solar plexus.
