Here is a prosperity exercise to get you started.

Light a green candle and recite the following.

The earth bursts forth with abundance

A Prayer for Bringing Balance into Your Life

I'm always striving to balance my life - always -

between planning and plotting my dream biz, working my bridge job, spending time with Chris, watching Netflix, 
reading books, writing, blogging, crafting, sleeping, etc...

It can get overwhelming. 

The following balance prayer is from Deborah Blake. 

She suggests saying this prayer while burning a white candle and a black candle. You may also want to place a tarot card or something that represents balance next to the candles. 
Example: Wheel of Fortune, the Star...

Note - here God and Goddess is used - you may replace this with the Universe, The Great Mystery, 

or whatever your higher power is.

Need direction for the New Year?

Another year is already here, can you believe it?

Are you wondering "what am I doing with my life?"

It happens.

Here's a little help from the Universe I found in last year's Witches' Datebook from Deborah Blake.

You'll need a yellow candle, a sprig of rosemary, 
and a bowl of water...

Take a few deep breaths, relax, open your mind...light your yellow candle...stir the bowl of water with your rosemary sprig while saying the following...

I ask for guidance in this new year

To take me where I'm meant to be

A path to walk, a voice to hear

A signpost through life's mystery

Send direction for my journey

And inspiration for my heart

Lay my passage clear before me

So I might make a proper start

Afterwards, pay attention!
Keep your eyes, ears, and mind open for 

signs from the Universe leading you on your path.

Out with the Old, In with the New

It's good to cleanse oneself now and again of 

old negative energies.

This allows us to make room for fresh beginnings.

This ritual from Deborah Blake can help you release the old 

and welcome the new.

Light a white candle and sit a bowl of water in front of it.

Dim the lights.

Take a few deep breaths and center yourself.

Think about what you are letting go.

Swish your hands gently in the water, 

releasing that energy into the water. 

Now...visualize what you want to bring into your life and 
say the following...

I wash my hands of what once was

To make room for the future

Clearing off the past because

The present I would nurture

The old is out, the new is in

Shining bright before me

I open wide and so begin

Endless possibility

Look into the candle light reflecting upon the water.

See your bright future.

Gratitude

Can you believe it's the middle of October? 
Halloween is just around the corner, which leads to Thanksgiving, which leads to Yule, which leads to another year.

I love this time of year for so many reasons. 
The leaves change, the temperature is cooler, 
and celebrations are everywhere.

Also, it is a great time to 
look back over the past year and reflect. 

Count your many blessings and be thankful.
Make a list if you want to.
