Indiegogo~Helping Folks Achieve Their Dreams

Indiegogo is a brilliant tool to help people achieve their dreams.

I recommend it to anyone that has a great idea and
needs some funding.

My campaign was super quick...
I put it together in just 2 weeks and went live on 12-12-12.
2 weeks of research, plotting, and planning probably worked out to just about 3-4 hours really since I work full time and have loads of other things going on in my life.

I went for it because I saw a chance to go to a Life Coaching school the end of February in Nashville.
I did not want to miss out on this opportunity.
I am ready to move things along in my life and I didn't want to wait another year or who knows how long
until the chance came around again.

I would suggest if you you have a dream for a new business or some sort of idea that you get started now.
I could have completely KILLED it if I had about 2 months to plot and plan before going live with the campaign.
I would have done a few videos...I just didn't have the time
There are tons of ways to promote your campaign before and during.

So for my campaign to move so fast...
I still achieved what I needed.

I believe the universe always provides
what we need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again to all of my supporters!

I had 28 donations...12 from my fabulous fly sistas, 2 from family, and 14 from my amazing friends.

Thank you all for allowing the next step in my life to happen.
I am filled with gratitude.

I am moving forward.

I'm so super happy I did this and I am getting most excited about my Life Coaching weekend...
just a few weeks away.

Goddess of Compassion, Kuan Yin

My True Intentions Paper Doll, Kuan Yin
One of my big things for this year is Life Book 2013
It's a year long mixed media art class.
Every week I get a different assignment via how-to videos.

This last week was an inspirational exercise
called, "True Intentions".
We were to create a paper doll from rubber stamps.
I don't have a collection of stamps...yet.
So, I went for paper...it's a paper doll and I have plenty of paper.
I used magazine clippings, scrapbook paper, and an old calendar.

At first, I wasn't sure what I was going to do, I wasn't sure if I was even into this project...but then something emerged.

Kuan Yin has been on my mind a lot lately.
I planned on writing a blog this week about her impact on my life and how I crave to emulate her with my Life Coaching path

Are you familiar with Kuan Yin? If you aren't...you should be.

Kuan Yin is the Chinese Goddess of compassion.
She is a bodhisattva...which basically means
she achieved enlightenment,
but chose to forgo nirvana in order to save others.

How incredible is that?
You achieve enlightenment,
but you say,"Oh, no...I must stay and help others."
She warms my heart.

Kuan Yin is compassion
She is patience. She is love
She is kindness. She is empathy.

She wants to help others be the best they can be.
I understand that.
I want to help others, too.
I want to use my gifts to
help people discover their authentic path.

I will be a successful Life Coach this year.

I want to help others find their true calling.
That is my true intention.

I have Life Coach training in February. I will be certified!
I'm so excited about this transition in my life.

I even have a campaign on Indiegogo to help with tuition and travel costs. I'm about $387 from meeting my $1,000 goal.
So close, one week left.
Check it out.

Kuan Yin

I made the vow
and kept my word
I reached enlightenment
but rather than pass over
to the state of eternal bliss
I retained human form
till all beings attain enlightenment
Keeping human form
enabled me to know more deeply
the pain other experience
Because of my deep feelings
because of my understanding
of misery and suffering
because of my decision
I am called The Compassionate One
She Whose Name Alleviates All Suffering
But wouldn't you prefer to wait
feeling what others feel
suffering what others suffer
knowing their pain as your own
wait till the end of all suffering and pain
till all beings attain enlightenment?
For me there was no other choice

It Is Happening.

It's official!

I registered for my Life Coach training!

It is happening!

I am journeying to Nashville, Tennessee
 the last weekend in February
to become a Certified Life Coach.
I am training with the Life Coach Institute of Orange County. They offer an accelerated 3 day intensive in person.
Not on the telephone, not via email, but
in the flesh learning and training.

They already sent me homework
I LOVE homework.
(Yes, I am a nerd.)

I will get so much out of this training...

I will be training with certified experienced Life Coaches.
I will receive hands on experience,
practicing in the classroom with real people.
They will help me devise a complete marketing plan.
I will be certified after our 3 day intensive.
They even have a graduation ceremony!

I would like to extend a super duper huge
THANK YOU
to everyone who has donated to
I've been blessed with some donations outside of the Indiegogo campaign...which is how I was able to register for the class.

I've also been blessed with a place to stay in Nashville.

As much as I want the flower essence training...
it can wait awhile.

So...I have a new money goal for the campaign...but I'm not able to switch it on Indiegogo.

If I can reach $1,000, that is absolutely perfect.
That would pay for the rest of my tuition, transportation and food, and the Indiegogo expenses.

So, I just need $387 more to make it happen!

Can you help?

Check out my perks.
Helping me can help you.
I'm the Pay It Forward Type of Fairy.

Thank you so fairy much!

Continuous Inspiration

Back in July I was hit hard with the crafty creative bug.

I've been creating necklaces and candles for 11 years...
off and on that is.

There have been breaks. Big breaks, little breaks. I would get distracted with other things, work, other hobbies, life.

And then I had a moment.
The bad kind. The kind of moment that throws you on the bed staring at the ceiling wallering in complete patheticness
Thoughts running through my brain,
"Amy, why aren't you vending? Why aren't you selling your crafts? What happened? This is one of the many reasons you moved to Asheville....and you have vended once in 3 years!"

The urge to vend was strong. The urge to craft was stronger.

I just laid there all sad and mopey.

Chris asked me what was wrong...I let it all out...

I finished with, "All I really need to vend is a tent,
but I don't have a tent."

He said, "Well, then...get one."

Oh. Yes. Okay. Why was I letting something so silly hold me back? Ha. I don't know, but once he said that...I was like
HELL YEAH, I WILL GET A TENT.

Vending here I come!

I researched the markets around here and felt connected to

I got a tent and started vending. The Paris of the South Flea Market welcomed me with open arms and smiles.
I was having a fantastic time, I met some great people...but doing a show every single Saturday drained my energy.

I decided to take a break from vending and
focus my energies elsewhere.

I had signed up for Kelly Rae Robert's Flying Lessons course

When the class started in September,
I threw myself in head first.
I got up early every single morning to
read the class lesson and take notes.
Everyday I learned new things about having a creative biz.

A fantastic bonus of the class is a Facebook group of everyone enrolled in the course.
At first, I was so completely overwhelmed by this...
over 600 super talented, artsy women!

How would I ever connect with so many?

The class ended, but my daily browsing of
our Facebook page hasn't.

And something quite unexpected has happened.

I feel connected with these women. I now know some of them.
I pop on and see their faces and
know their names.
I know their artwork.
I know their goals, inspirations, and dreams.
It is amazing to be part of such a wonderful group of women who are truly in support of each other.
They have become part of my daily life.

As a result of Kelly Rae's course and my Flying Sisters, I have reopened an Etsy shop, revamped my blog, signed up for a painting class, I'm in an "Artist Way" book club, I swap ATCs (artist trading cards, I act like I know the lingo),

and most importantly...

the inspiration just keeps flowing.

I have now been on a continuous streak of creating
and I'm not going to stop.

And through all of this I have realized my calling.
I know what I want to be when I grow up.

Becoming a Life Coach is the next step.

I have felt a shift in me.

There is no turning back. I am on a roll. I'm going to keep creating candles. I'm going to keep working on my creative biz.
By Spring of 2013 I will be a Life Coach.

I am inspired and I'm not quitting.

Check out my campaign on Indiegogo...

Please help if you can! 27 days left to meet my goal!
