My Home is a Peaceful Haven

My Home is a Peaceful Haven
Chris & I's New Home Sweet Home

My home is a reflection of me,
so I now decide to "clean house".

I clean my closets and refrigerator.

I take all the clothes that I haven't worn in a period of time
and sell them, give them away, or burn them.

I get rid of the old so that I can make room for the new.

As I let it go, I say: I'm cleaning the closets of my mind.

I do the same with my refrigerator.

I clean out all the foods and scraps
that have been there for a while.

I know that people who have very cluttered closets and
cluttered refrigerators have cluttered minds.

So, I make my home a
wonderful place to live in.

****************************
Moving is the absolute perfect opportunity to
clean house on everything.

Time to purge.

Time to go through EVERYTHING.

I'm ready to feng shui the new home and
get that good qi flowing!

Kick Start Art Journaling with Sara Naumann

I'm pretty new to art journaling.

You may recall I got an amazing journal with a crow on the front from Michael Seagle at a local artists craft show.

It became obvious it would be my 1st art journal.

Since then, I've been having some fun and experimenting.

How perfect that an art journaling class became available to me.

http://www.saranaumann.com/

I'm really singing Sara's praises.
She is organized and pleasant and easy to understand.

I haven't taken tons of online classes, however I'm part of a year long mixed media course and every single week is a different project presented with a different teacher,
how-to video, and how- to PDF.

I have to say some of these videos and PDFs are
completely shitty.
Most of the videos are just downright terrible...
plus they insert their dog or cat to make it look cute.
Well, I'm wanting to learn techniques, not see your freakin pet.
I don't want to hear your cat meow or see your dog at the pool.
I don't want to hear your child.

If you are going to offer a course, make an attempt to make it PROFESSIONAL.

The PDFs look like a 1st grader did them.

So...anyway...now that is off my chest...

I am blown away with Sara Naumann.

Finally, someone that gets it.

Someone that is professional.

Her PDFs rock.

I can tell her heart and soul has gone into this course.

The videos are great, her voice is pleasant and elegant.

The lessons are easy to understand.
and they present challenges as well.

Sara gets you thinking!
I love that.
I love to get my brain cells spinning.

Week #1 was finding your mentor, or
letting your mentor find you.

Sara gave us this incredibly inspiring website, http://achievement.org,
chock full of leaders and visionaries.

As I was glancing through people I noticed Sheryl Crow...really?

I went through a big listening phase to Ms. Crow back in 2003.

I remember The Globe Sessions playing over and over in my condo by the lake that always
smelled of incense and spirituality.

I was a listener of her tunes, but I never really knew anything
about Sheryl Crow.

I started reading about her and couldn't stop.

I was amazed to find out she has a brain tumor, but is fine.
She has fought cancer, and won.

She is creative, fierce, and beautiful.

I just love her.

I found similarities between Sheryl Crow and I.

We are both from the midwest.
We are both of Irish descent.
We are both aquarians.
We are anti-war and speak our minds.

We are both strong, independent, and
we truly embrace who we are.

Thank you Sara Naumann!
So looking forward to more art journaling exercises.

Back in November 2007, I started going through some marketing business books for my "future".

I wanted my own business.

I saw myself selling my inspirational necklaces
and intention candles.

I did some of the exercises prompted in the books.

I thought. I reflected. I envisioned.
I wrote out my visions
and inspirational words that tug at my heart.

I had forgotten about all that.

I recently stumbled across that book.
I was reading through my notes.
Notes I wrote on November 3, 2007.
Notes from over 5 years ago.

I came across this...
November 3, 2007

Since I had my epiphany of being a life coach, I have been talking nonstop about how I would like to be like Kuan Yin,
the Goddess of Compassion.

I recently created a mixed media art project with her and
my life coaching business in mind.
My True Intentions Project
I shared it in my blog on January 15. You can read it here.

So, here I've been...thinking about Kuan Yin...wanting to incorporate her into my biz...
when I had that same idea over 5 years ago.

5 years ago I was onto something...
but it wasn't quite there yet.

This innate desire to help others just as she did,
 has always been with me.

It is time.

Now my vision is more clear.

Through my journey I have become

Please check out my new Facebook page and
be sure to give it a like.

I believe I was born to be a life coach.

I'm so excited about things to come.

Oracle of the Week~Goddess~Nu Kua

Nu Kua
Order

The Goddess Oracle by Amy Sophia Marashinsky
Illustrated by Hrana Janto

******************************************
There is a Way

and I am that Way

the Way of Nature that moves in all things

In the beginning

I created the universal pattern

the Way things are

the Way things flow

the Way things need to be

Then

I sequenced the seasons

harmonized the hillsides

organized the oceans

till all was auspiciously arranged

I am the natural order of things

I am the Way
******************************************
Oh wow...the "natural order of things"...this is fantastic.
I believe with our new home, I will find my new order...
my new rhythm of life.

This is so exciting.

"Nu Kua says that when life is ordered in the natural way,
you nurture your path to wholeness."

Doing: Painting, cleaning, moving.

Pet Peeves: ...

Happy Thoughts:  Home sweet home.

It is time to blossom. (Blog Circle)

Spring is in the air!
Yesterday was the first day of Spring, Ostara.

It's my 2nd favorite Holiday...the first being Halloween, of course.

I love Spring.
I love to watch things come back to life.
The flowers bloom, the birds sing, and the garden grows.

It's the waxing time of the year...
time to set things in motion.

It is time to blossom.

Every Ostara I write an intention letter to myself.
I fill it will my hopes, dreams, and goals for the year.
I open last year's letter, see where I stand, reflect, and
then I write my new letter for the year.

I have found that this is the perfect time for me to
implement any big changes in my life.

It's a great time to plant the seeds you wish to grow.

I began 2013 with 2 major goals for the year,
a year of transformation for me.

The first big goal is becoming a life coach,
the other big deal is moving to a bigger home with Chris.

I'm so freakin thrilled to report both of these are happening.

I completed my life coach training and I am officially a life coach.

Chris and I found a new home and
began the fun of painting last night.

With the "big" part of these goals done...
it is time to plant the seeds of growth.

I'm so looking forward to nesting and getting
all settled in the new place.

I'll have my own craft room/office.

This is major.

With my own space, I'll be able to really work on
getting "The Magick Muse" to soar.

**************************
What do you wish to plant this year?

What growth should you seek in your life?

Where will you blossom?

 Ostara is the time.

Today's Growth blog is part of the Flying Lessons blog circle.

Hop to the next blog to read more reflections on planting seeds.

Who knows where you'll end up?
Keep in mind...we are all over the world...due to different time zones the next link may not be up yet.
Give it some time and it will be.

Next stop on the circle is one of my fav fly sistas, Michelle Hill.

She symbolizes new growth, rebirth, and springtime.

This Week in The Magick Muse

I'll always be Spirit Dancer, just like I'll always be Amy...however I have evolved and grown..."Spirit Dancer Creations" has been my crafty biz...and now I'm offering something so much more than just my crafts...welcome to my life coaching biz..."The Magick Muse".

This Week in
The Magick Muse

Reading: All kinds of biz books..."Make a Name for Yourself" by Robin Fisher Roffer, "The Right-Brain Business Plan" by Jennifer Lee, and "Love, Light, and Business" by Bonnie Willow

Listening to: PJ Harvey, Sheryl Crow, Puscifer

Watching: Lost Girl, Buffy, Doom Generation, Whale Rider

Thinking about: My life coach biz...Spirit Dancer Creations has now become The Magick Muse. My head is spinning in good creative ways. Starting everything over and it feels right.

Learning: I have so many passions in life I tend to overwhelm myself at times.

Doing: Re-branding and MOVING. Yes. Chris and I are finally moving.

Pet Peeves: Is my day job a pet peeve? ;)

Happy Thoughts: The Magick Muse, moving, having my own craft room, being able to do laundry again...so exciting!

Best Quote: “When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.” - John Lennon

Looking forward to: Moving. Getting settled. Having a real home. Nesting. Growing. Loving.

I Love Myself

I Love Myself Totally in the Now

Love is the biggest eraser there is.

Love erases even the deepest imprinting

because love goes deeper than anything.

If my childhood imprinting was very strong

and I keep saying: It's all their fault,

then I can't change.

I stay stuck.

So, I do a lot of mirror work.

I look at my reflection in the mirror

and tell every part of my body and soul

that I love it.

I do this every morning when

I wake up and every evening

before I go to sleep.

I love everything about this wonderful soul

that is me.

My March Artist Date~Asheville Wholistic Integrative Fair

My March Artist Date

Holy woo woo Batman, it was awesome.

Seriously, so much better than I expected.
I really thought I would be there for about an hour...see who and what was there...all research and brainstorming for my life coach biz...maybe I would meet some cool folks.

Well, I was there for about 3 hours.

I made some fantastic connections.
I even have a coffee date lined up.

So many incredible people...tons of healers...
people with the same innate desire I have to help others.
There were smiles, supportive words, compliments,
hugs and connections made.

I met Shirley Michl of Intentional Wellness.
She is an Integrative Health Coach and she is amazing.
Shirley Michl, IHC, CPCC

It was such pleasure connecting with
Rebecca of Spirited Connections
and Dawn of Healing Thyme Services
Rebecca, me, and Dawn

Plus I found the BEST BOOK EVER
to get me really going with my life coaching biz.
Excellent book.
Since I've been back from my life coaching certification,
I have been overwhelmed with
creative business books and e-courses.
All kinds of helpful information coming right at me...
but this book tops them all.
I'm a healer and this book is
exactly what I need for my planning and plotting.

I am spinning with ideas and creativity.
I'm so ready to create my life coach biz plan.
There is so much I want to do!
